New Website Connects Disaster Victims With Skilled Professionals
New Orleans, LA – BidAJob.com
is the first website dedicated to connecting skilled
professionals with the people who need their services. The
idea here is to connect buyers in the same general
geographical area with nearby professionals. The site
is a reverse auction where a home or business can list the job they
need performed such as replacing a roof damaged by the hurricane.
Local professionals can bid on the job.
This gives the buyer several bids to choose from when selecting someone
to hire. The site has a rating system where both the
buyers and professionals can rate each other. The rating system provides
opinions from parties to actual completed transactions.
Buyers can rate professionals on such things as how difficult
or easy they are to work with and the quality of the work for
the professionals. Professional can rate the buyers on things like how
quickly they paid and how easy or hard they were to work with.
Currently there are 70,000 families living in
FEMA-provided manufactured homes placed on individual properties
or in group sites in Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. Many of these
people need to rebuild their previous homes that were destroyed. One
of the biggest problems faced by these families is finding the
help they need to repair their homes and businesses.
The categories of professionals available for on-site
work are: Accounting & Book Keeping, Appliance Repair, Auto Mechanics,
Car-Boat-Auto Detailers, Commercial Repairs & Renovations, Electrical,
Heating, Air and Refrigeration, Computer Repair & Upgrades, Home-Office
Cleaning, Home Repairs & Renovations, Landscaping & Lawn Maintenance,
Networking, Nursing, Plumbing, Pressure Washing and Small Engine Repair.
There are also a few additions categories where the work
can be preformed either on or off-site such as: Corporate Branding,
Data Entry, Graphic Design, Software Development and Website Design
& Development.
Like most people George King III was shocked by the
devastation that the Gulf Coast suffered at the hands of hurricane Katrina.
After reading about the difficulty people were having in finding people
to repair their homes and business, he started this web site in an effort
to make things a little bit easier. Mr. King is available for Interviews.
